GEOG456

This will serve as the general guideline for the GEOG456 Project. We will complete each part as individual documents.  Each will be submitted separately.  Only turn in your idea document here.

1. Your idea. You only need one. Start with this - "I want to work with..." and share it with me. I will share a Google doc with all of you - so the ideas will be seen. All people could offer perspective. Be sure you are asking a question or questions.  You may work together - or on your own. After we work it around, you can move to step 2.  All ideas will be presented in class to our peers.  You should have a tentative list of GIS skills you expect to use.  One must include spatial analysis that we addressed in GIS II.  25 points (4th quarter grade)

2. Literature Review. In our case, this means an aggressive search of the inter-webs for research, maps, really anything - related to what you are interesting in looking at. Are we repeating what has been done? Do we already know the answer? Again, we will present this information to our peers.  Be ready to show the evidence of your research.  25 points.  (4th quarter grade)

3. This is the actual mapping part. Push the data through the analysis. You may focus on any of the chapters we completed.  A process summary (with all parts we completed during the semester) must be included.  Detail is critical.   Prepare your map (s). TODALSIGS are still completely in effect. Respect!  100 points. (4th quarter grade).

4. Present. Your presentation will be in the form of a Story Map.  You will use it to present.  Use this link:  https://storymaps.arcgis.com/  The sum of the presentation and your speaking will be the final score (20% of the semester).  100 points.
